This Booking agreement outlines details to date for the function for which we have booked any rooms at Gianni’s venue and set out our and your expectations.

Will be held for a period of ten days, after which time the space will be released.

To confirm your booking we will require a deposit of $2000.00 or 10% of the estimated value of the event – whichever is greater – along with receipt of the signed Booking Agreement.

Notice of cancellation or transfer of a confirmed booking must be given in writing by the client and received by Gianni’s Events at Portside.

If notice of cancellation is given in writing between 90 to 40 days from the date of the event, the deposit shall be refunded or transferred only upon the re–booking of the cancelled date with a similar function.

The transfer of a confirmed booking will require a new Booking Agreement to confirm the new date.

Further to clause 3, if notice of cancellation is given in writing between 90 to 40 days prior to the function date and Gianni’s Events at Portside does not secure a booking of a replacement similar function for that date, the client shall forfeit deposits paid.

The guaranteed minimum number of guests attending the event is required 7 days prior to your event. Increases can be submitted by 12 noon, 3 weekdays prior to the event.

We require 50% of final estimated payment 30 days prior to the event. Full payment for your function is required 7 days prior to the event. In the instance where credit facilities have been established with Gianni’s Venue at Portside, payment is required within 7 days of the event.

An invoice will be prepared based on the minimum number. Final payment for the event shall be made by the client by cash or bank cheque, credit card (a bank charge of 1.5% applies to all payments made with Bankcard, Visa or Mastercard, a bank charge of 3% applies to all payments made with Diners Club and American Express).

NOTE: any event payments made by credit cards above $5000.00 will incure a transaction fee of 3% or EFTPOS on or before three business days prior to the function date

Gianni’s Venue at Portside does not charge any fees for the Venue Hire but applies the following minimum numbers & spends per rooms:

NOTE: If your agreed quote with the above minimum numbers and minimum spends change, the venue has the right to reallocate your function room and change the pricing structure of your event to meet with the changed minimum numbers and minimum spends

Whilst every attempt is made to avoid unforeseen price increases, menu prices are valid until the date stipulated on your documents. GST has been included in all prices listed on your documents.

Beverages can be served and charged on either a consumption or package basis. Due to Alcohol Regulations, no B.Y.O. are permitted on the Venue. The venue reserves the right to refuse alcohol service and/or remove any patrons that do not behave appropriately or ignore notice to cease consumption of alcohol as per the Qld Liquor Licensing Law.

Your booking has been made with a starting time and a closing time. This agreement acknowledges the event duration shall not be extended unless otherwise arranged with us.

The receipt of the deposit together with our receipt of this agreement confirms the booking.

Health Regulations mean that no B.Y.O. of food is permitted with the exception of celebration cakes sourced from a professional kitchen.

We are able to organise any kind of equipment you may need for your function such as microphone, data projector, special lighting, etc. If you are making your own arrangement please ensure the hire company contacts us directly to arrange access to the room for set – up.

250 complementary car spaces of parking is available underground at Portside.

Due to our position in front of the new Brisbane Cruise Terminal, as cruise ships dock in front of our veranda, Gianni’s Events at Portside can provide the dates when Cruise ships will be at the wharf but will assume no responsibility for cruise ships docked on unscheduled days or times.  For further information please call Multiplex on (07) 3868 5111.

This agreement indemnifies Gianni’s Venue at Portside (its staff, agents and contracts) from and against all liabilities, damage and claims due to, or accidental to, the conduct and security of event guests, and any property loss or damaged to event guests.

Gianni’s Venue at Portside will ensure that every care is taken when  looking after our guests and their possessions, however, we cannot take responsibility for any loss or damage of items before, during and after an event.

The venue provides public liability insurance to $20 million to cover our guests who could suffer accidental personal injury on the premises.
